wellness4one Personal: Fitness Goal Setting
Goals are an important step to a new you.
One of the key elements of any fitness program, and one that is commonly absent, is effective goal setting. In order to achieve great
results you must have equally great aspirations. To set effective goals you must first ask yourself the following questions:
- What physical goal or goals am I trying to achieve? Usually very straight forward and should be challenging but realistic.
- When do I want to achieve this goal? Besides the obvious answer, now, the timeframe should also be challenging but realistic. e.g. many doctors believe losing over one pound of body weight per week is dangerous.
- Why do I want to reach this goal? Probably the most difficult question and one that must be thought through. Entering into a physical training program has many intrinsic health and aesthetic benefits, but why do you care? Answering this question will go a long way in determining whether you will exercise on the days that you just don't feel like it and whether you will stick to your goals in the long run.
- How am I going to reach this goal? The good news here is that you are already going down the path to reaching your goal.
By answering the above questions and committing to your success, this website can help you achieve what you desire.
The goal setting system uses data from the evaluation system, workout and calorie logs to help set goals and determine if the goal has been achieved. Exercise goals are tracked
and checked nightly while evaluation goals updated immediately with progress indicators displaying on the home page.
Note: As with all personal health information contained within wellness4one, Goal setting data is stored in an encrypted format within our database.
