Purpose

The purpose of the Add Exercises dialog allows users to add or edit exercises for their Workout Log.

When used by a group admin to enter custom exercises for the group, any group member will be able to see the exercise for their workout logs and to build workout routines.

Features

The Add Exercise dialog allows the user to enter the new exercise name, indicate whether it requires any specific equipment to perform, indicate if it is an isolation or compound exercise, is aerobic or anaerobic, and specify the primary muscle group used.

Note: Exercises entered using this page are only viewable to the member who entered them or the group if entered by a group admin.

How To

1. After logging into the system, click the Workout Log tab. For Custom Group Exercises, click the Admin tab.
2. Click Add Exercise from the workout log grid and click Create Exercise from the popup. For Custom Group Exercises, select the appropriate group and then click the Add Exercise link.
3. Select New Exercise from the drop down box to add a new exercise or select the name of the exercise to modify.
4. Enter a name for the new exercise. The name must be different from any existing exercises.
5. Specify if the exercise requires any fitness equipment to perform such as weights or a bicycle.
6. Specify if the exercise is an isolation or compound exercise. An isolation exercise works only one muscle group while a compound exercise will work two or more muscle groups.
7. Specify if the exercise is aerobic (cardio) or anaerobic.
8. Select the primary muscle group worked by this exercise.
9. If you have created and uploaded a YouTube video for this exercise, you may enter the YouTube Video ID in this text box. The video id can be found in the address bar when watching the YouTube video following: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=
10. When you are finished adding or editing an exercise, click the Save button.
11. Click Done to exit the dialog box.
